Painted Floor

I love this floor. I think I should paint our entry hall like this. What do you think?

New Color Scheme

I received this beautiful "vintage look" picture of the Salt Lake Temple for my birthday from my awesome hubby Rob. I love it. When I hung it up, I loved the black frame contrasting with the white slip-covered furniture. So, in generally keeping with the Shabby Chic idea, I have been slowly changing accessories to mostly black and white.

This is a work in progress, I am trying to decide what color to paint the living room and dining room. Shabby Chic rooms normally have all white walls, which I would love, but maybe a nice contrasting taupe, or mink gray (one of the colors I chose for my office remodel) would be nice.
